    First France/South Africa Forum

    The first France/South Africa Forum on the theme of business opportunities in Africa took place on 13 & 14 November 2006 in Sandton, Johannesburg. South African businesspeople had the opportunity to discuss business opportunities in Africa with their counterparts from France. Guest speakers included France’s Minister for Foreign Trade, Christine Lagarde, SA’s Minister for Trade and Industry, Mandisi Mphahlwa, as well as top French and South African businesspeople.
  • French South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry

    The French South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry represents over 200 members with business interests in France and South Africa, providing you with access to a dynamic and powerful business network.

    The Chamber constitutes, through its panel of services and activities and its network of members, an efficient business support mechanism for French companies in their investigation of South Africa, as well as for South African companies wishing to set up business links with France.

  • Department of Economic Affairs

    The Department of Economic Affairs of the French Embassy in South Africa, one of 156 such missions in 113 countries, has the aim of strengthening the international development of French companies worldwide.

    The principal objectives of the Economic Mission are to:

    • Analyse South Africa’s economic and financial situation, as well as its market accessibility for French companies.
    • Support the trade activities of French export companies and those already established locally, to promote French investments while informing South African industrialists and administrations of French produce.
    • Contribute, through collective work and data analysis, to defining French and EU proposals in multilateral institutions. The Economic Mission relays France’s positions on financial and commercial questions.
