Book - "Une vie de Pintade en Afrique du Sud" [fr]
Come and meet Sophie Bouillon, author of the book "Une vie de pintade en Afrique du Sud"!
The author will be presenting the book and participate to debate and signature evening on Thursday, 20th February from 6:30pm.
"The greatest danger for tourists travelling in South Africa, is to miss Johannesburg. The economic capital of the country has too long been neglected by travellers. But she is beginning to compete with her younger sister Cap Town on organised trips. Certainly, Cap Town has been better served by Mother Nature, who offered it a breathtaking physical appearance.
Nevertheless Johannesburg has the flavour and the moose of a city in the fate fiercely anchored in modernity. Globe-trotters are not mistaken there. More and more of them stop in Joburg to make the most of the energy of this megalopolis. The inhabitants of Cape Town and Johannesburg are just like their cities. Cape Town women are tall girls, natural, healthy, muscular and gilded by the Southern sun. Joburg women are inflexible, brave and excessive and fascinating. South Africa is the prow of Africa. It is also a paradox. Sophie Bouillon, the author, came to grip the whole country. With appetite, she took up the challenge of telling us about these two cities, each with a strong personality, that of a lioness. A fight that she led with bare hands and for our greatest happiness, she shared it all."
