"Colloquium on Innate Immunity", French Professor Jean - Marc Rechkart
The French professor Jean-Marc REICHHART, from the university of Louis Pasteur, member of the "Institut Universitaire de France", Director of Research at CNRS will deliver the opening lecture “THE MENACE OF PATHOGENS” at the occasion of the colloquium on "Innate immunity" to be held at the University of the Witwatersrand, February 15th and 16th 2010.
“THE MENACE OF PATHOGENS” (Emerging and re-emerging pathogens: HIV, SARS, HINI (Swine flu), Bird Flu, Multiple drug resistance TB, Klebsiella and others).
The spread of these new diseases is a global concern because of their association with animals, continually changing demographics caused by efficient movement of people around the world and because of poor public health facilities in many countries.
All this in the background of ineffective therapeutic products. What is the future?
The lecture is scheduled for February 15th and 16:30 at the University of the Witwatersrand
