They, for the first time, signed a cinematographic coproduction agreement, which will enable films simultaneously produced by French and South African professionals, to benefit from both countries’ support mechanisms dedicated to cinema.

A new cooperation programme regarding arts and culture was also signed by the two ministers for the 2010-2012 period. It will allow an exchange of experts in the field of visual arts, plastic arts, cultural inheritance, cultural industries, and digitization.

These two agreements prove that both ministers, who already met last January, are very eager to develop the cultural relationships between France and South Africa.
