French delegation attended AfricaCom 2014 [fr]
The 18th edition of AfricaCom, the biggest telecom show in Africa, took place in Cape Town on 11-13 November 2014. During 3 days, the event gathered around 400 companies and more than 8000 visitors from all over the world.
This event is a real opportunity to meet potential future partners or clients, and to develop one’s presence on the South African business market. Africa is catching up on the telecom field.
The ICT industry in South Africa represents around 14% of the country’s GDP. The sector’s main actors import latest technologies to develop new products and solutions regarding the local market.
The South African market is structuring: the regulatory authority ICASA encourages operators to share infrastructure costs in order to allow all South African to connect to the grid.
