  • In Johannesburg, Ambassador Barbier participated in the silent protest organised for the freedom of press and against all forms of fanatism on January 10.

Around 300 persons gathered in Zoo Lake with simple messages "Je Suis Charlie" and drawings.

The event was led by Mr Marc Gbaffou, Chairperson of the African Diaspora Forum (ADF) and Mr Blaise Anelone, Consular Adviser and Ms Fabienne Lemonde, a member of the French community of Johannesburg.
