Research cooperation inspired by excellence

In the spirit of mutually beneficial collaboration, the two governments signed a bilateral agreement focused on cooperation in S&T during the State Visit of the French President to South Africa in 2008. The Franco-South African partnership embodies the eventual aim of integrating South African researchers into the European Research Space. The bilateral partnership was enhanced in 2010 with the signing of an agreement between the Technology Innovation Agency (TIA) and its French counterpart, OSEO. This partnership will elevate the country’s capacity to translate local research and development into commercial products and services.

Cooperation in S&T plays a major role in relieving stress placed on the environment by the ever-expanding demands of the Technological Age. (Learn about French research institutes implicated in this partnership…)
