Schneider Electric SA opens the Rainbow Hive
On Monday 12 December 2016, Chargée d’Affaires a.i. Ms. Charlotte Montel inaugurated Schneider Electric South Africa’s new headquarters in Waterfall City.
Schneider Electric is a global specialist in energy management and automation.
Attending the inauguration was Mr. Caspar Herzberg - Schneider Electric Zone President, Mr. Albert Fuchet – Schneider Electric Cluster President, Mr. Eric Leger - Schneider Electric Country President, and Mr. Joe Madungandaba - Group Chief Executive Officer, Community Investment Holdings.
In her speech, Ms. Montel said: "It is a real pleasure for the French Embassy to be associated with the inauguration of your new premises. We are very proud of you as a global French company and will always be ready to further collaborate in South Africa and in the region".
The French South African Schneider Electric Center (F’SASEC), a center providing vocational training for junior and senior technicians in the fields of electricity, energy and automated systems control, based at the Vaal University of Technology (Free State), was started in 2012 in partnership with the French Ministry of Education.
In March 2016, Schneider Electric signed partnership agreements with the Cape Peninsula University of Technology, College of Cape Town, University of Johannesburg and Sedibeng College for the establishment of four additional training centres.
