IFAS-Culture

The French Institute in South Africa, the cultural agency of the French Embassy in South Africa, organises around fifty artistic events per year with the objective of promoting French and French-speaking culture (both from Africa and the Indian Ocean) to the local public.

IFAS-Research

IFAS-Research focuses on the reconstruction of space and identities as well as social and political change in post-apartheid South Africa, through an interdisciplinary approach. IFAS-Research welcomes researchers, lecturers and short-term bursary holders to the centre. In addition to providing visiting researchers and students with a place to work and computer access, IFAS-Research also offers bursaries for research trips and fieldwork as part of their master’s degree studies.

Dibuka

Dibuka is a multi-media library focussing on France and contemporary french speaking culture which offers to the general public almost 12 000 documents such as books, comic books, CDs, videos, French newspapers and magazines. Office hours: Mondays to Fridays : 9 am to 6 pm Saturdays : 9 am to 1 pm
